Abstract

|
A 14-year-old male patient was admitted for an abnormal chest X-ray. A chest computed tomogram showed a cystic mass in the anterior mediastinum and spleen, 14×14 cm and 2×2 cm in size respectively. Complete removal of the mediastinal lesion was achieved by a median sternotomy. The final histologic diagnosis of the lesion was cystic lymphangioma. There was no evidence of tumor recurrence until a postoperative period of 14 months
